The Wedding S[tr]inger

My wedding musician engagements are typically not of the vocal variety, but are those of the vibrating—usually steel—strings. Whether I am playing to accompany another musician or a singer, or am solo, I almost always get to keep my mouth shut (preferred).

Such will be the case, I hope, as I prepare to play for two young people very dear to my family and me. In any case, I’ll know soon the “how much” and “what kind” after I meet later this morning with another one dear to me: the mother of the bride (who is also the mother of my son-in-law).

And while wedding music and production preparation can be somewhat stress-producing, I am optimistic that this one will be in the more laid back category.

Here’s to wishing for not Just Another Manic Monday.
